My work questions the purpose of materials we routinely take for granted. When something is thrown away - in these cases, a dumpster and a traffic barrier - its reason for being disappears, shrouded in an "out-of-sight-out-of-mind" way. The Dumponaut is a mobile living unit that can be used as a storage unit, or perhaps an urban assault vehicle. The Traffic Barrier Car can stand alone as a utility cart, or, filled with soil, a portable garden. The uses of these new vehicles are limited only by the users' imagination - my hope is that we can remember that before we throw something away.
