Collectors Circle

The Collector’s Circle is a group of donors who contribute at SCC’s highest ($1,000 and above) membership level. This group has a strong connection to SCC not only because of their financial commitment, but also because of their relationships to the staff, art, and artists SCC represents. Comprised mainly of current and past board members and volunteers, this group understands the many levels of support needed to make SCC a sustainable organization.  Because they truly value experiences with artists and learning opportunities surrounding the creative process, SCC is committed to offering the Collector’s Circle unique experiences that help them connect to contemporary craft.

To show our appreciation for this group, SCC has started hosting a private Collector’s Circle event each year surrounding a unique artist opportunity. In the fall of 2008, SCC welcomed esteemed metal smith Robert Ebendorf of the University of East Carolina and curator Elizabeth Turrell of the University of the West England for a lecture of their exhibitions The Enamel Experience and TAG.  Following the lecture the Collector’s Circle attended a dinner with the guest of honor, where they were engaged in intimate conversation.
