Born in Pittsburgh, Gerry Dinnen received his M.F.A. from Edinboro University and is an adjunct professor at Community College of Allegheny County.   He constructed his own studio and salt kiln in a rural wooded area in Beaver County, just out side of Pittsburgh.  Gerry is best known for his very unusual salt-fired teapots.  In his more recent body of work he uses stoneware and celadon glazes.
