Bryan Petersen

Bryan Petersen is a metalsmith who finds adventure in the found objects of the world, recycling them into jewelry and sculpture. Discovery of materials is a necessary component of the process, which leads to new creative solutions. License plates, street signs, and tin cans create a material vocabulary commenting on politics, social change, and the environment. His sustainable jewelry is created using low impact processes such as metal forming, prong setting, and cold-connections. The social commentary, personal association, and choice of materials create meaning in the jewelry.
