Jim Rose

Born in Indiana, Jim Rose lived in Europe until he returned to the United States to attend the school of the Art Institute in Chicago where he graduated in 1988 with a BFA.

Jim Rose's skillful interpretation of the Shaker design is a result of tireless research and study of the shaker culture and history.  He has achieved unquestionable mastery in recreating the minimalism of the Shaker technique.  His selection of steel results in a patina directly related to that of aged wood.  No matter the complexity, the fabrication of each piece is unsurpassed.  The fabrication of every piece is astute and perfect.
