Anthony Schafermeyer
Shafermeyer’s work is informed by near East traditions, encompassing design motifs and architectural forms, but it is transformed by his own sensibilities into something truly novel. He has chosen to work within the vessel tradition, befitting the history of the medium and reflecting an enduring pursuit of the glassblowing process. Schafermeyer is a master of cane work, creating depth and pattern with complex multi-step processes.
