In 1979, Raphael organized the traveling exhibition, Pennsylvania Crafts Today, which was presented at the William Penn Memorial Museum in Harrisburg for the inaugural celebration of Governor Richard Thornburgh. Since 1979, SCC has continued to circulate high quality exhibitions representing a full range of craft media including clay, glass, metal, wood and fiber, and featuring works by nationally and internationally known artists. The reach of SCC's exhibition program is extended to a broad national audience.

The reasonable cost of the exhibitions, which includes one-way shipping and companion products such as catalogues, curriculum packets, press releases, and labels, addresses the current need that national organizations have to maximize financial and staff resources.
