Amy Weiks is an artist who takes an interdisciplinary approach to art making. The intimacy and interactivity of objects is what draws her to creating jewelry. An enthusiastic promoter of handmade jewelry, she has taught classes and workshops, employing the use of lateral thinking in creative problem solving and vehemently declaring, “Make it a Brooch!” when confronted with the most mundane or peculiar materials.

These “Vintage Remix” necklaces are made from vintage beads, which Amy deconstructs, cleans, and combines into new, updated jewelry. The “Mad Tatties” earrings are cotton and steel with stainless steel ear wires.
