Alyssa Wood
I draw and sculpt objects we use in everyday life such as cutlery, beds, birthday cakes, clocks, and coffee cups. In these rather banal objects, I celebrate the beauty of domestic rituals. Through my portraits of these ritualized objects I bridge the gap between the ways that we mark time in our daily lives and our desire for a more sublime and meaningful experience of our time.
