Robert Ebendorf is an internationally recognized jeweler and metalsmith, famous for his use of found objects. Ebendorf is one of the leaders of the studio jewelry movement, and he was a founding member of the Society of North American Goldsmiths. His work is in the collections of over 40 museums worldwide, including the Victoria and Albert Museum in London and the Museum of Art and Design in New York City. The Renwick Gallery of the Smithsonian American Art Museum in Washington DC exhibited a retrospective of Ebendorf’s work in 2006. He is currently the Carol Grotnes Belk Distinguished Professor of Art at East Carolina University.
