Ways to Contribute
If you are considering, or interested in more information about any of the following options for supporting SCC, please contact Steve Burry at 412-261-7003 x. 29 or sburry@contemporarycraft.org.
* Matching Gift Program (check with your H.R. representative.
Your employer may match your gift, doubling its impact!)
* Gifts of Stock
* Gifts in Honor or In Memory
* Volunteering
* Planned Giving
* Gifts by Bequest
Matching Gift Program:
By asking your employer to match your gift to SCC, your donation will be significantly increased, have greater impact on the organization, and provide you with an expanded list of benefits.
More than 1,000 companies and foundations across the United States will match their employees’ cash or volunteer gifts to non-profit organizations like Society for Contemporary Craft. As part of their employee benefits program, participating companies match the gift of an eligible company employee with corporate or company funds. Ask your personnel office for a matching gift form and simply send it in with your donation.
Gifts of Stock:
Many donors enjoy the financial rewards of supporting SCC with a gift of stock. With your stock gift you will receive benefits based on the value of the stock at the time it is donated. A gift of stock may be deducted for charitable income tax deduction purposes at its fair market value, even if the stock’s original cost to you was less than its current value. This option appeals to many of our donors because the effective cost of a gift of stock may be less than the cost of a gift of cash.
Gifts in Honor or In Memory:
Gifts can be made in honor, or in memory of someone important to you. Simply let us know for whom the gift is made and provide an address so that we can notify the appropriate person(s) of your important gift.
Volunteering:
We SCC is always looking for volunteers to assist with greeting and educating visitors and to help with special events. If you would like more information on volunteering, please call 412-261-7003 x25 and we will connect you to the area of your interest.
Planned Giving:
Would you like to have a lasting influence on Society for Contemporary Craft? You can include SCC in your estate plans and let your legacy benefit future generations of craft enthusiasts.
There are many simple ways to include SCC in your plans, each one offering its own set of financial benefits for your and for SCC.
Gifts by Bequest:
Bequests are a convenient and flexible way to support SCC. By naming SCC in your will or living trust, you can make a meaningful gift while maintaining control of your assets during life. Your gift to SCC may be a specific amount of money or a percentage of your estate, or your may include SCC as a contingent beneficiary.
Other Planned Gift Options:
There are many options that can work with your personal plans. You can designate SCC as a beneficiary of your retirement plan assets or a life insurance policy. Or you can donate your primary residence or vacation home while lifetime residence rights.
With so many ways to include SCC in your plans, you can find a gift that will match your personal financial plans and philanthropic goals.
