Inside/Out Community Day
This free, annual weekend celebration in July of craft features artist demonstrations, craft booths, art-making for children, music, and other family-oriented activities. For more information call 412.261.7003.

The Studio:
The Studio's fall session will offer a broad range of classes in book arts, fiber, metal and wood. SCC's education center has a large variety of craft classes which are available to members at a reduced rate.
Studio Tours:
SCC offers tours of a regional artist’s studio, and a discussion and demonstration of the artist’s current work. These tours are offered to members at a discounted price.

Recent tours have included the metal working studios of Sue Amendolara, Cappy Counard and Edinboro College, the woodworking studio of Arthur Reitmeyer, and the gardens and ceramic studio of Susan Kemenyffy.

Lectures:
In conjunction with each exhibition lectures are given by crafts persons in the gallery related to the current show. Members are notified of these by newsletter.

Workshops:
Several times during the year workshops are offered by local craft artists. Members attending these workshops receive a discount.

Study weekends:
An Art Experience...Call for more information
This spring week-end trip will take members on behind-the-scenes visits to artists’ studios to see new work and learn about process. Side trips to museums and contemporary craft galleries will also be included on the trip.
Once a year SCC sponsors three day trips to other communities to learn about the different craft media. Past trips have been to Philadelphia, Detroit and Rochester.

Holiday weekends:
Winter holiday weekends find the SCC store decked out with holiday cheer. The gallery is frequently filled with music and there are other activities such as story tellers. Local artists often do demonstrations of the work and processes. The store has wonderful one-of-a-kind hand-crafted items perfect for holiday gift giving.
