SCC's summer artist-in-residence outreach program funded by the Multicultural Arts Initiative and Ronald McDonald House Charities of Pittsburgh teamed Mr. Imagination and students from Reizenstein Middle School and the Pittsburgh Classical Academy.

This solo exhibition presented a selection of contemporary works by Danish-born fiber artist Inge Norgaard. Drawing on cultural traditions, forms, and media of her homeland, filtered through the experience of acquiring a new identity as an immigrant artist Norgaard responds to both opportunities and crises in contemporary American society.

Judy Barie: Vessels in Paper	December 8 — February 3, 2001 One Mellon Bank Center Gallery
A native of Pittsburgh, Barie was trained formally as a painter. The exhibition, presented at SCC's One Mellon Center Gallery, will highlight a new series of three dimensional paper vessels. Constructed of layers of cardboard, wood splints, paper, glue, ink and paint, these sculptural, paper maché forms reflect the artists strong use of color and pattern on a three dimensional canvas.
